WhiteSpace Creative Earns 12th Consecutive Cascade Capital Business Growth Award

AKRON, Ohio (Oct. 9, 2015) – WhiteSpace Creative, an integrated marketing agency located in Akron, was recognized on Oct. 8 with a Cascade Capital Business Growth Award as a small business that has demonstrated economic impact in the region. To be considered for this award, WhiteSpace had to increase its sales by 100 percent or $5 million or increase its staff by 50 percent or 25 employees over the past five years. The company has received the Cascade Capital Business Growth Award for 12 years running and was the recipient of the FirstMerit Legacy Award in 2014.

“This award is one of which I’m particularly proud because it's earned through sustained yet notable growth that improves our region,” said Keeven White, president and founder of WhiteSpace Creative. “Our growth plan has always been about adapting to the needs of our clients and the larger community. Expanded service offerings and good customer service have benefited us as is reflected in our year-over-year growth. In turn, we’re able to support our community by adding more positions and encouraging community service with our staff.”

WhiteSpace was one of 45 companies within Summit, Media, Stark, Portage, Ashland, Wayne and Holmes counties to receive the Business Growth Award on Oct. 8 at the John S. Knight Center. Cascade Capital Corporation, in conjunction with Akron/Canton Smart Business Magazine, has held the awards ceremony for the past 19 years. More information about the awards is available at www.cascadecapital.org/GrowthAwards.html.

“It’s important to us that not just WhiteSpace, but all of greater Akron make strides forward,” said White. “We pride ourselves in doing community-based projects like our annual Pro-Bono Creative Marathon and the staff deeply enjoys the chance to assist local non-profits by sharing our talents and skills.”
