Business Analyst Summer Intern WhiteSpace is looking for a data-savvy and analytically minded intern to work with us on research, data integration, analysis and reporting projects on behalf of our clients. While no job experience is necessary, candidates must show strong potential for developing statistical analytics models to solve business problems. The selected intern will gain hands-on business know-how, as well as learn from example with the ongoing support of the WhiteSpace staff. Responsibilities • Interface with senior management and account staff to understand the business andidentify opportunities for improvement using statistical analysis and data analytics • Research and understand large volumes of structured and unstructured data to derive insights and correlations that can be used for analysis and process improvements • Identify and initiate new projects, use data correlation to improve system reliability • Communicate status and findings to senior management and account staff through written and visualization techniques• Work with end-users to validate and enhance the insights from analysis Requirements • Junior/senior college student majoring in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics• Experience using data and statistical tools to manipulate data and conduct analysis • Strong analytical thinking; able to find patterns and correlations in data and think logically about implications• Ability to research, manipulate and extract information from large, complex data sets • Ability to present material in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences and decision-makers• Advanced Excel and research skills• Robust organizational and file management skills• Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly• Keen attention to detail• Competence to meet deadlines and project deliverables• Positive attitude and strong work ethic; team player aptitude Compensation and Hours • $10 an hour• Full Time, Monday – Friday• 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (flexible) Contact To apply, email your resume to Jen Snider.
