WhiteSpace Wins International Hermes Creative Award and Regional Leading EDGE Honors
WhiteSpace Creative, an Akron-based integrated marketing communications agency and project resource, recently received a top 2010 Hermes Creative Platinum Award from the The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals and a distinct business honor from The Leading EDGE Award Program.
The coveted Platinum Hermes Award recognizes the WhiteSpace and PreGel AMERICA collaboration on the Summer/Fall 2009 issue of Views from the Tree, a PreGel AMERICA b2b customer magazine. “This honor from Hermes means so much to our team,” said Jillian Hillard, editor-in-chief and marketing manager for PreGel AMERICA. “Our magazine has truly been a labor of love for everyone involved, and I can’t even begin to express our excitement.”
The Hermes Creative Awards recognize outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals. The 2010 competition included more than 3,600 entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers around the world.
In addition to the Hermes Award, WhiteSpace has also been recognized with a distinguished Leading EDGE Award. The Leading EDGE Award Program, developed by The Entrepeneurs EDGE (Economic Development through Growth and Entrepeneurship), identifies WhiteSpace as one of 86 Northeast Ohio companies having created the most value for themselves, their employees and the region based on 2007-09 employee compensation and EBIT figures.
“In arguably one of the worst economic downturns experienced in a lifetime, middle-market companies may well be the antidote for an ailing Northeast Ohio economy,” said D. Kirk Neiswander, president of The Entrepreneurs EDGE. “These firms are resilient, can move quickly and have shown the ability to innovate and spin-off new businesses.“
