AKRON, OHIO (July 13, 2016) – WhiteSpace President and CEO Keeven White has been recognized among Northeast Ohio’s 2016 Smart 50 Award honorees. The third-annual Corporate College Smart 50 Awards, presented by Smart Business, recognize top executives from the 50 “smartest” companies in the region for their ability to effectively build and lead savvy organizations. Smart 50 winners were invited to a special celebration at Landerhaven on Tuesday, July 12, where they were honored for their innovation, impact and sustainability to create business continuity.
“I’m extremely proud and humbled to be recognized among the top 50 business leaders in the region,” said White. “This award is a testament to the focus and commitment of the WhiteSpace staff in knowing our customers’ needs and making sure their expectations are being fulfilled; which is critical in our quest to outperform our competitors.”
With more than 25 years of industry experience, White is responsible for creating the WhiteSpace vision and communicating the overall direction to clients and the community. An approachable and involved leader who remains active in terms of creative inspiration, client strategy and core business relationships, White often shares his expertise in the community and currently serves on several boards, including the Area Agency on Aging, Boys & Girls Club of the Western Reserve and Downtown Akron Partnership.
In addition to his board service, White recently graduated from Leadership Akron Class 31 where he gained valuable exposure to the inner workings of the community. He has continued his involvement by working with a small committee to plan and host Entrepreneurship Day for the current Signature Program Class 32, as well as programs for the Community Leadership Institute. White has also been helping develop a strong entrepreneurial community in Greater Akron by working with partners like the Fund for Our Economic Future, JumpStart, The City of Akron and The Akron Regional Chamber.
All of the Smart 50 Award honorees have made a positive impact on employment and business sustainability, and have the ability to generate new ideas and innovation in everyday expectations. They have also reinvented the Northeast Ohio landscape into one of the most up-and-coming business regions in the country. The large, midsized and emerging companies’ leaders motivate and inspire people and are passionate about what they do.
