Agency holds second “crawl” event, adds expert Q&A panel
Akron, Ohio – On Friday, November 9, WhiteSpace, an integrated marketing agency, held its second crawl-style networking event. Targeted at local small businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs and students, the event focused on how to market in a hyperlocal environment and featured four “speed stations” with specific topics and local beer and wine selections. Topics included social media strategy, targeted advertising, storytelling in Akron and hyperlocal SEO strategy.
“WhiteSpace was thrilled to hold our second crawl event,” said WhiteSpace President Keeven White. “After the success of our social media crawl last May, we knew we had developed an engaging formula for connecting with the community and sharing our insight with local businesses and nonprofits.”
In addition to the four stations, the event included a Q&A panel at the end of the evening, featuring five guests: Shane Wynn, award-winning photojournalist and artist; Mario Micale, founder of Narrative Digital Media; Colin Baker, publisher of Akron Life Magazine; Dan Ripplinger, manager of Litho-Print Company and Keeven White.
The event was free and open to the public. All attendees received a follow-up handout with hyperlocal marketing tips. In addition, the WhiteSpace Crawl included two prize giveaways: a Rubber City Clothing gift card, awarded to writer Jim Woods, and a free social media audit from WhiteSpace Social Media Strategist Shon Christy, awarded to PR and marketing freelancer Christen Varley.
