Copy Director Annie Murray has earned the nickname Word Girl around the office. Like any superhero, she knows that with great power comes great responsibility. That’s why Annie is tireless in her concepting, intentional in her writing and meticulous in her adherence to time and budget constraints. Whether she’s writing about hydraulic pumps or canine fitness, she rocks the brand voice and partners with the account team to identify further content opportunities. As a senior-level messenger, Annie excels at big-picture branding and has a knack for striking the right balance between industry-speak and genuine storytelling. Prior to WhiteSpace, she taught research writing at the university level and English grammar in the Czech Republic. She loves putting her teacher hat back on to lead voice and tone exercises during client discovery sessions. Internally, Annie spearheaded the initiative to revamp the WhiteSpace voice and develop a comprehensive copy style guide. She helps allocate our copy resources and assists in the professional development of all of our writers. When Annie’s not saving the world one comma at a time, she’s a proud introvert who enjoys solo activities like running, blogging and binge watching Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
