Facility maintenance worker Marcus Banks claims he is afraid of flying. At WhiteSpace, we find that hard to believe since this passionate modern-day Renaissance man is always ready to tackle any challenge inside our four walls…that he personally helped to reinforce. From roofing and concrete to plumbing and electrical, Marcus has a natural talent for working with his hands. In fact, as one of the lead contractors on the restoration of our historic home, he helped enhance the beauty and functionality of our once-crumbling 1893 factory space. Like any good project, our building might never be fully “done,” and Marcus works hard daily to keep the building comfortable, safe and accessible for both Whitespace staff and clients. While he humbly brushes off his role by referring to himself as “the repair guy,” we recognize that what makes Marcus’s efforts stand out is his ability to approach each task with an artist’s eye. That’s right, in his spare time, Marcus enjoys crafting 3D drywall sculptures.
